The other month I had all the following done. Clutch, flywheel, cam chain and tensioner oil pick up pipe and cam follower changed all at the one time.... That hurt the wallet lol, thankfully I know a good mechanic
rather you then me did you do the clutch/flywheel as needed or is there a gen miliage it should be done at ?

Tbh, I'm starting to think it's a bit overhyped these days, I know a few people with the 2.0 tdi and not one of them has had any issues, I'm not saying it's not an issue but I don't believe it's as bad an issue as some will make you believe

It was needing changed as it was starting to struggle im pretty sure it was the original clutch too so it would have been 109000 miles old.

Maybe, but theres always the horror stories that remind you of the problem lol

What symptoms were you getting from your clutch and flywheel

I think with the 2.0 tdi a lot will have been sorted by previous owners and the new owner wouldn't necessarily know what had been done. Also you only ever hear the bad stuff on forums like this. So for every 100 that report a fault there's a 1000 sat not saying anything because they don't need to

On statistics...yeah your probably right
I highly doubt mine has been done, only a few previous owners, and as little as 46k when i bought it
Me being me a paronoid wreck and i dont have the money in my pocket long enough to even know how much ive got, i thought it would be best if i got it looked at...considering im needing a full service anyways
Mainly fluid changes like(dealer ssid he done it) ....but he could be telling my owt lol
Timing belt was done at 40k ..strange i know at that mileage??

Could of been done on age though should be done on x miles or x years whichever soonest. I wouldn't complain though it's money saved lol

Blinkin hell
Ive got an audi specialist who works on mine
Its class when i ask him a question
He rattles off all the information (more than i need or wanted to know)
None of this crap...ill get back to you

It was starting to struggle with putting the power down when pulling away in a hurry, you could feel it starting to slip, I most likely could have got away with not changing the Flywheel but though I might as well change it at the same time as the clutch

Today I stripped the car down of all the bits I planned to remove, now I just need to get them cleaned up and put up for sale, gutted i'm having to leave my Milltek turbo back exhaust on though, I couldn't find a standard exhaust to replace it with :(

wont be buying any goodies from them again.

I've just ordered a set of pcd adapters so I can fit the Porsche wheels when I get back from Disney at Easter

yep, decided to avoid any further issues with the last company and there rubbish courier service and go with someone else and a different rim, not a massive change in style but enough .

Fair my enough mate. Is the new style wheel still similar in design then?

Have you tried wheelbase near Manchester. Always had excess revive from them and good prices too

They are all off now mate, going to give them a clean up tomorrow, the only thing left in the car now is the RNSE Mk2, will take that out on Sunday night

Sound. If you can send me the pics of the TIP then we'll sort payment out etc. Thanks.

Fitted some led plate lights, think there brighter than my headlights! Had a scoob wagon park next to me and realised how gorgeous a4 avants are compared to other estates

Sent wheels off to get redrilled and ET changed. There's some engineering going into them! Fingers crossed it all works out!

If they're the type I think they are, they have 3 individual leds on each strip? If so, you can make them look a lot more oem by covering each of the middle leds up with some black insulation tape or a blob of black silicon sealant....
