hi, it's come to my attention that my funny starting issue where my car would start at the 1st turn of the key cycle is down to the ignition switch being faulty, now I just need help changing the switch as I'm buying a new one straight from Audi tomorrow (£44), can anyone link me to a guid for the 54 plate a3 8p because the only guides iv found are for the older a3's, or if anyone's done the job them selves and can offer some advice, thanks for any help.

Anyone help me with this? Could use a helping hand, thanks.

I'm doing this at the moment on the other halfs car. steps are as follows:
-Disconnect Battrey & wait 30 min
-Remove airbag and stearing wheel
-Remove upper steering wheel trim
-Remove Lower stearing wheel trim (1 bolt underneath, 2 behing steering wheel)
-Disconnect plug from Ignition switch which is on oppersite side of key barrel
-Remove old Ignition switch. This is just a push in so you'll need 2 small screwdrivers, pins etc to push in plastic tabs before pulling out switch.

Install is reverse of above and ovisouly this just for guidence and I'm not responsible
