EGR leaking oil

So I have oil which appears to be leaking from the EGR valve, took it apart and there is a bit of oil inside it.

I presume the EGR is knackered and needs replacing, however if I just blanked off the EGR will this stop the oil entering and leaking too?

Get an Allard EGR delete kit!

It's just normal crank case oil vapour and the egr has two tiny atmospheric vent holes .

Delete kit or disable and plug the holes .

I'll second the allard kit, had mine on a few years now without any issues.
