No AM stations - A3 8L - Nakamichi

Hi all

Since changing the headunit (I didn't check with the old unit), I cannot pick up any AM stations (Yes, people still use it...radio 5 live etc).

The aerial is def plugged in - I checked, but still nothing. What else can I check or buy to sort this?

Changing what to what? are we supposed to guess?

Nakamichi cd 35 from a Sony (I am not sure of the model number but it looked pretty basic)

Possibly you are not supplying +12v down the cable for the antenna amp to work.

Maybe the sony was capable of this and the Nakamichi isn't or is not setup correctly to do so.

It may be a setting on the new radio or you might need some additional hardware to supply +12 down the antenna cable.
