Acquiring a RNS-E on Friday and just had a few queries about installation. I own a 2006 Audi A3, I upgraded my single din cage to a double din, and for the moment I've just left my old concert radio in there. When I get my new head-unit, I'm aware that I need a wiring harness to make sure that the wires can connect and a GPS antenna, both of which I have, after this is it just a simple plug and play?

I do not have a MFSW or Bose sound system so i'm hoping there would be no coding required. Could someone please inform me as to whether this is the case. Its the newer version RNS-E with the gloss rim.

Thank You:)

You need to add the rnse to the gateway so yes VCDS is needed.
The directions come up on the display between the clocks

Hi I dont have this kind of display between the clocks, just the basic one. Guessing its all ok then?

Then you have no dis, bit it does require coding.

Subject to location, we fit these systems if you need an installer, pm if of interest.
