WHICH CAR BATTERY CHARGER?

Hi All.

Any recommendations on a car battery charger?

Ideally one that either charges itself and them jump starts the car, or one that charges the battery off the car.

Needs to be suitable for bigger engines/batteries.

You shouldn't need a battery charger these days on a regularly driven car. If it goes flat and the battery is about 6 years old------just buy a new one.

I have a Clarke 4000 boost pack, for those haven't used my car in two weeks and its parked miles away and I want to make sure I can get it started moments. Will start up to 4ltr Diesel and 6ltr petrol engines, so ideal for my 2.0tdi

Thanks for the info folks. It's actually for a newish Bosch S3 battery on a family member's Renault dCi that has been sat over the winter.

Just needs a jump start and then it'll be ok again.
