Stop/Start braking sweet spot?

I was just wondering if the sweet spot I have with my brake pedal, where it just about stops the car still, but the stop start function doesn't activate is standard on all cars? This obviously only applies to automatics with the built in parking creep.

Certainly the same on my 2012 3.0L Tdi S-Line. Very useful really, especially e.g. on a fast road if you have to stop suddenly, you don't want the engine stopping straight off a fast run according to Honest John in the D.T. who says that rapid cooling of the turbo wrecks the bearings.
