8p rim offset

Hi everyone,

I found a set of wheels for a good price but can't find the right answer wheter they fit 8P or not..

Looking to get 17" 7.5J ET35 rims for my a3 sportback with regular suspension (no mods etc). I read that the standard ET is 56 for 8P, but I've seen lots of 8Ps with simmilar (rs type) wheels.

Would these wheels work with no rubbing or other potential problems?

They'll poke 19mm compared to stock. ET35 probably a little low.

I have 17", 7 1/2", ET45 wheels with standard size 225/45/17 tyres. They fit dead flush with the arch edges so your ET35 wheels stick out a bit. Not what I would do.

I found a couple of German Motor-talk threads which contribute to what Soot1 said. Desicion - pass on ET35 rims..

Those specs with ET40 or higher will be fine.
