So anyone could clarify in wich fuses exactly to tap when installing the magic box pro? Also in order to attach the cables you just swirl them around the fuse?

Many thanks

So I believe i will need to fuse taps cables.. and they have 2 slots each one.. any idea apart of the original fuse what have to be the amp of the extra fuse if wanting to hardwire a Blackvue camera? I understand one cable goes to ground another to a live fuse even when car is off and another to the cigarrette lighter fuse per example.. is that correct? Sorry a bit confused.. would appreciate if someone could clarify ;)

Many thanks

I used a 5 amp fuse in each of the fuse taps.

Black is earth
Yellow is permanent live
Red is switched accessory live (cigarette lighter)

As per these instructions :-

These are the locations I used for the fuse taps :-

No probs Bud ;o)

Remember with the fuse tap the original fuse goes in the lower slot, so 5A fuses are in the top slot and are what you can see when the fuse tap is plugged in.

Will it be enough just by adding 5 amp fuse to each of the taps? Did you found any problem at all? Also how do you have the switches on the box itself the 1-5 switches.. Sorry for many questions I just don't want to mess it up ;)

Thanks for that

5 amp fuses are fine.

Only problem was the earth I found the bolt on the side that others have used unreliable so drilled a hole and used a self tapper as per the BlackVue installation thread.

Here is how mine is setup, with only switch 4 on this keeps the camera live for 24hrs after removing keys or if battery voltage hits 11.8V whichever happens first. If you only want it live for 12hrs then flick switch 5 on instead of switch 4. These are probably the most common settings but all are shown in the power magic pro pdf that I linked too :-
