2004 RNS-e unit Aux coding

Hey all

Can anybody help me out, i have a rns-e unit and have coded it to enable the AUX but added 4 to the coding but when going back through the settings the aux will not show up. Am i missing something. Have also force restarted but no difference.

Reset the unit, press radio & setup together until it turns of, it will show up fine then, it's normal.

Thanks Nigel, Tried doing that but it didn't seem to help. once both buttons are pressed it shuts down and restarts almost immediately. does that sound right ? do you think it may need a software update ?

That's exceptionally old mate if its a mk1 unit, update to 0650 in mk1 & 0220 on a mk2

I actually did give the guy your name and contact details as he also has a problem with the drive.

I don't know why, but I remember doing mine and someone said add a 7 not a 4, and I think it work. Was a while back so not 100% sure but can try.

Edit, looking at it, maybe not..

It depends on whats in your car. I believe my car was actually a 5 and not a 4. Having Satellite Radio or AMI changes it to something else. Its worth a shot.
