B6 uprights and Abs sensors.

I'm getting an abs light on the dash after swapping over to B6 uprights.
I've used some eBay sensors which I've cut and soldered the b5 plugs onto. Still getting a code for the right front even after swapping to another sensor. Would it matter which way around the plugs connected, or should I try another branded sensor ( not an eBay cheapy).

The sensors i used plugged right in. Part number 4b0927803b

I used ebay cheapies too, one failed after a short time, but the replacement was fine.

• Thanks aragorn. It wasn't the sensor causing the problem, it's was incorrectly supplied outer cv,s. They were advertised as S4 b5 but were only only 73mm across the abs ring instead off 80. The input and output splines were correct so not sure what model they,re meant for.
• Two new outer cv,s, and a new set of Meyle HD,s and she,s got that new car feel. Well almost.
