Hi people,

Picked up my B9 A4 S-line about a month ago - traded up from a 2013 A3 S-Line.
On the A3, the instrument panel was lit whenever the ignition was on - although it went dim as it got dark outside to remind you to put the lights on. My A4 doesn't do this - although the manual says it may do 'depending on the vehicle equipment'. Given it's almost the exact same spec as my old A3, what 'vehicle equipment' do you need to add to get this?! I'm presuming I'm into the realms of fiddling via VCDS to get it changed?

Aren't there different specs of interior lighting on the b9, I thought there is at least two. Perhaps that's what the manual is referring too? Have you auto headlights as I believe that also makes a difference..

Auto lights and wipers are standard on all trim levels of the B9

So were they on your a3, is it really that a bigger deal as long as they work as intended?
