Better Brakes S3

As some of you may agree i think the standard brakes on the S3 8L are pretty pants

so how to get more stopping power?

do i need to get bigger calipers? (i know alot of people use the Cupra R brembos)

or can I get away with upgraded discs & pads and getting braided brake lines and a high quality brake fluid?
how much will this improve the braking?

I wouldn't quite say they are pants with regards to the standard S3. They seem to stop me well enough when I want driving normally....for an S3 driver.
If you are thinking of making it go faster, then brakes should be first on on the list.

My brakes are shocking at the moment. They're probably good to most but now with the added power I feel they're not adequate for the job. I'm going for AP's 6 pots up front and 280mm rears to see how that balances out.
