Hi guys,
I'm sure this has been covered before, but I;m getting seriously confused about the issue as there seem to be loads of different combinations of car, antenna system and radio, so figured I'd ask about my specific issue...
I drive a beaten-up old 1.9Tdi 2006 (06 plate) A3, which up until a week ago had a Symphony 2 stereo (until my 2 yo son shoved a 10p piece in to the useless tape deck!)... I replaced this with a Concert (3, i think) and bought the antenna adapter to convert the iso antenna to a double Fakra.
I sat on the drive and tuned it all in with the engine off... 2 minutes after starting it and driving, I'd lost every single channel and couldn;t tune in. I assumed the antenna connector had come loose, so checked it... All well.
I decided to add the single Fakra connector from the former stereo to see if this worked. No different.
So, what do I need? Some sort of different antenna booster?
It's dong my head in not having a radio, so any help much appreciated!
Cheers,
Drew
