My S3 Sedan came with the C0J 8J x 18" 5 parallel spoke wheels, since I don't have magnetic ride and the road here in Hong Kong is extremely bad, I really don't want to go up to 19"... I really like the look of the 19" C6H 5 twin spoke star on the Sedan and the Sportback has a standard 18" of the same design?

For whatever reason, the 18" on the Sedan is 8J ET46 vs Sportback's 18" which is 7.5J ET51? If I somehow go locate the SB 18" for my Sedan, running the same 225/40-18, does that mean by calculation, the wheels would be about 1cm more retracted than my standard 18"?? Anyone done this here?

Or if I go with 19" and drop down couple psi (39/35 on the 18" cold), good or bad idea?

11.4mm more retracted.

Most on here prefer to go out with spacers or lower ET in order to fill the arches better rather than going in reducing the poke.
