plans so far tints on back, i want the roof rails not sure if thats doable, also remap not sure which company to go with tho, first thing first is haldex and s tronic service not been done yet

I retrofitted the black rails, not too bad a job tbh and totally transforms the look.
As for remap, that's a no brainer too, even a stage 1 makes a big difference

how much do the rails cost mate, hard to fit? im after chrome 1s, also got a rnse mk1 is it worth chaging for mk2

The rails are up to £250 on ebay, make sure the fittings are in with that as they are £50 on there own.
I bought black and chrome and tried them both on before settling on black
The mk1 rnse is perfectly fine and you only really need to go with the mk2 if you want to fit the AMI or optical park tbh

both look really nice its set it off, i was going to go ami but im just trying to find some 4gb non hc sd cards which is turning out to be hard!!!!! how much you recon they would cost to fit those rails mate

Depends wether you can do the fit or not?
It involves dropping the roof lining which means literally removing all the trim in the car due to how it's all clipped together.
The scariest bit is obviously marking up and drilling.
It's probably a 2-3hr job in total

ill find someone local in the midalnds who can fit id mess it up lol wat remap did you go for

It's in my sig if you can see it, if not I went APR!

didnt even see it lol, you impressed with it, all i read is apr or revo, whats the cost of apr

Yes very impressed, especially on 2+
I think I paid around £500 when they had one of the frequent offers on

Hope you enjoy the car.....mine has served me well so far.

Remaps....don't forget that as well as APR and Revo, you also have custom tuners like Rick @ Unicorn, who can provide a bit more than the mainstream software companies.
All of the major ones produce good products, and achieve reliability as well, and mine ran Revo software for around 40k miles in various states of tune, before I moved to a different setup.

Take your car to Midland VW to do he rails and remap and haldex etc, they will look after you.

Enjoy your new car.

I'm also wanting to get roof rails put on. Agree it does make the car stand out more. There is a member on here that will retrofit them for £150. Next thing on my list after service.

whos the member mate, not a bad price, my list is getting bigger and bigger, ill give midland vw a call tomorrow i tried central audi specialists today but there prices are the same if not more expensive than main dealer, i think i might get heldex and s tronic service from the stealer and full service from a local garage
