induction kit...

hi...thinking of putting a k&n induction kit on my 1996 tdi 110...is ther any difference in performance and sound with it on..or are they a waste of money..thanks

waste of money in my opinion. mite get a lil more grunt but hardly noticeable.

Makes a nice roar on a petrol, not heard one on a diesel but ive sold a few. Panel filter might be an idea.

I had one on my 2.5 V6 TDi, didnt make much more engine noise, but you could hear the diverter valve releasing the air back into the air intake a bit more. a quiet but noticable whoosh.

As for performance, i didnt notice anything there either as the standard airbox and filters aren't that restrictive.
