Potential heater issue

Recently during long journeys I've experienced an issue with the heaters. They blow hot air, sometimes extremely hot air, on anything other than LO at which point it is ice cold. Engine temperature is fine throughout.

Any ideas?

Maybe it's your airco that needs to be serviced. Or it could be your heater control valve. The partnumber is 4f1959617A the revised one is the B. If it's the heater control valve, you could try to clean it instead of buying a new one.
