Do you have more pictures of your car with these wheels? Perhaps a side view?

I think this is the best side view I have if I’m honest...

Yes mate - Lowered 35mm on Eibach springs and personally think it’s the perfect height and handles much better with them imo

They do look even better in person, photos don’t do them justice!

I got mine off a friends S5 when he bought some mental £3k alloys - But I’ve seen reps going for sensible money online

Second photo is when they first went on - No lowering springs or any mods at all.

It does look better lowered but I don’t think I could handle the harsher ride. It’ll be harsher to start with and the roads around my neck of the woods ain’t the best. Even the motorways ain’t that good lol

Does look alright on standard springs. There’s a place up in falkirk called skids selling reps they also fit them so may be worth a weekend trip up that way it’s only a 3 hour drive from Newcastle. Prbz get them when my tyres are shot would make sense.

Thank you @dmpx, the pictures show what I needed to see. I'm close to purchasing them, though I have to wait till I collect my car in March.

As to reps, they are here with a possibility to choosing from three different offsets of 32, 35 or 42. I hope that ET42 would fit a sportback.

Eibach Pro springs aren't much harsher than the OE sport springs, but 19" wheels should be harsher than the 18".

I’d agree with dp_motley, the Eibachs didn’t really give me any noticeable harshness but they did remove any body roll and removed the creaking over speed bumps...

@dp_motley Glad they helped a little - Be sure to get some before and after photos up for us!

I understand they will be harsher. Less rubber to absorb anything. There’s only 5mm difference between them I believe. 35 for the 19 and 40 for the 18

So shouldn’t be a massive difference. I spend most my commutes on duel carriageways etc. I only drive about 4 miles on single carriageway out of my 16 mile commute to work

I will, just let me collect the car first :)

Can you comment on the 235/35/19 wheel harshness vs the 225/40/18 ones? Were you on stock sports or S-line suspension when you swapped the wheels?

The 8v A3 is known to be harsh anyway... but it was a minor difference, but not enough to annoy me. I also went from budget tyres on the 18s to Bridgestones on the 19s which may have have affected it.

I have S-Line suspension on mine

You have S-line shocks with Eibach springs, do you?

Yeah, S-Line shocks and Eibach springs. Replaced the rubber stops on the shocks and has polyurethane bushes all round so it’s vastly different that stock handling.

I picked it up 4th jan, managed to clean it in-between the bad weather! initially viewed a brilliant black with mag ride ( no other options) and walked away to find this 2 weeks later and just what I wanted! panther black/super sports seats/ privacy glass / comfort pack / parking system to name the bulk of the options! more than happy with it. no plans to do anything to it apart from I have fitted heko wind deflectors since taking these pictures.

Hey mate - I have a white S3 saloon like yours but love your setup. What lowering mod have you done? Looks great!

New to this forum. Have my sportback for three months now. Modifying it with new mirror caps, ringer front lip, black gloss roof wrap etc etc. Will post pics as soon as this is finished. This is the car now. Any tips? Tweaks? Upgrades? Feel welcome to post.

The more I see Nanogrey the more I like it. Can't wait till a collection day of my Nano SB in March. I ordered it with black optics & mirror caps. I don't know your taste, but I'm ordering black audi rings for a grille and a hatch to replace the chrome ones. Then I'll change the rims to some black or grey (the options are plastidipping these or purchasing a set of 19"). RS3 front grille would be a nice mod too. As I ordered my car with a standard cloth seats, I'll upgrade interior with leather or leather/alcantara/cloth seats and matching door cards, preferably with an extended leather package. All the windows will be tinted: 70/55 front/back. But the first thing I'll do will be a windshield protection and ceramic coating of paintwork. And did I mention lowering?

I’ve got a Eibach Sportline 45mm lowering springs, and 19’’ S5 alloys to fill the arches! Didnt need any spacers but the figment is flush and aggressive :)

Managed to get the car washed today & polished. Took the photos on the new iphone also, have to say i am impressed with the camera. Sorry its only 2 pictures, started getting dark now :blue:

Yesterday - 17 degrees and nice winter day. Already almost 50cm of snow and more to come this week.
Not a clean car but still I love it.

Short dark video of winter driving, sorry about radio program...

difficult to show how matrix lights work, had to turn high-beam off behind truck because of snow

Matrix function is best left off whilst driving when snow is falling and in heavy fog quite distracting to be honest

First proper pics I’ve got of my new S3

Shame the car is dirty after two days of owning it but it’s booked in for a full ceramic coating in January which should help with maintenance.

It’s probably signing my own banning order from ASN but look at the state of mine. Combination of mucky building sites, manky/salty/snowy roads and no opportunity to wash it over last two or three weeks but it’s embarrassing!

Never mind mate I believe we are all in the same boat. I am keeping both mine clean from inside as it is where I sit. Outside is what people see while I am driving .

And I am not touching either of the cars until temps settle down a bit.
