Just thought I'd write a quick post relating to some indicator issues I had so that if anyone is facing the same issue they know what is involved.
I struggled to find any information on this when I started to encounter the issues.
So about 2 months ago while I was driving I noticed that my car wouldn't indicate right. If I turned the car off and back on, it worked fine again. This was a very intermittent problem.
It's been more and more frequent until yesterday the left turn indicator wouldn't work at all. Sometimes if I indicated right the left ones went on!
I ran a VCDS scan and it came up with an indicator communication fault.
I bought a brand new set of genuine stalks (comes with both indicator and wipers stalk as one unit) for £23.

A bit daunting taking the steering wheel off but as it stands now, it seems to have fixed the problem.
