Just picked up my Audi a3 sline 1.6 petrol been looking for one for a long time in this spec. I was told by the dealer it was a rare spec of an audi a3 with the 1.6 petrol perfect for me as I didn't want a diesel.

looking for ideas on modifications to do. Already fitted number plate holders and next month I'm going to get the wheels done in black chrome by the wheel specialist.

its a 2007 model full service history with 64000 miles.

Welcome to audi-sport.net. If you have a read of the FAQs thread it may give you some ideas for future mods. Enjoy the car and the forum :)

Welcome to the forum, nice motor! I'd recommend changing the rear lights to my11 lights as I have just done on my s3, really freshens up the back end! There's loads of advice on here too.

thanks was thinking about that where did you get your ones from

I got mine second hand, one side from eBay and one side from a breakers. Euro car parts sell an after market version, or you can use the parts request service on here to get genuine ones.

Those from euro car parts are genuine ones, they say magneti marrelli on the boxes they come in and not Audi but that is who makes them for Audi apparently. Got mine for about £115 from euro car parts about 4 month ago and I've got to say they're absolutely bang on.

Euro Car Parts list 2 different qualities of A3 rear lights, a cheaper 'aftermarket' one and the Magneti Marelli ones, well at least for the Sportback they do!
I went for the Magneti Marelli ones last month when I upgraded my Sportback and they are definitely OEM/Genuine quality.
The boxes say Magneti Marelli/Carrello/Automotive Lighting but when I went to fit them the units themselves were actually marked with the AL motif of Automotive Lighting which is the make of the factory ones I took off.
My SB ones cost a little over £150 from ECP as opposed to over £200 elsewhere.
I'd definitely recommend buying new Magneti Marelli ones from Euro.

Welcome to the forum, car looks very tidy :)

Nice car mate! I picked up my first Audi 2 weeks ago same year as yours with 55k on the clock. Was shopping for months to find the right one so happy now that i've found it.

Welcome to ASN.

Welcome to AS-N. Whip the grille out and remove the chrome work from it then have it painted gloss black. looks pretty good without going down the plasti dipped route. subtle but effective.

Thanks, I found it hard to find one in good nick and to be petrol as most of them are diesel.

I nearly went for a diesel, but found a sweet 2.0 TFSI. I'm not the biggest fan of diesels so it would've been a slight disappointment if I compromised and got one.

Was looking for a 2.0tfsi but being only 21 insurance is high and also due to an accident.
