help missfire

Hi i've got an audi a3 1.6 puney 8v. Its been a great vehicle till of late, when it suddenly started missfiring. I've had it plugged into vagcom and it comes up with random cylinder missfire and multiple cylinder missfire. The car hardlt had any power no i just experiance severe juddering say from 0 to 3000 revs

Its also got lambda sensor open circuit showing as well!!

Its also started to trigger the traction control light? when i switch the vehicle off the light resets itself

I've changed the coil pack, and egr valve however still no joy any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Errr, your lambda sensor is stuffed?

same happened with my S3, i changed the spark plugs (buy the most expensive ones-original) and hopefully that should sort your misfire

tend to agree with tall paul does sound like lambda sensors gone

can the lambda sensor cause the car to judder like hell when accelerating?

As for the car its a 2001 1.6 with about 74k on it. Any ideas what a lambda sensor would cost and by the way do these cars have 1 or 2?

does your car have a throttle cable or is it DBW?

hi erm i have no idea!! throttle cable is that where you can rev the engine from the engine bay! really not sure if its drive by wire though
