Component Protection - Surrey

Hi,

Hoping this will be the right part of the forum for this.

I'm looking for someone to give me a hand to reset component protection on my Audi B8.
I've installed a replacement airbag module as mine had failed and I need the protection removed now.

I've read that it's not VCDS that does this but hoping with the knowledge in this forum someone can help.

Only people with access to the GeKo system will be able to remove component protection. This is the main dealers and usually VAG specialists as well. From what I have read on here dealers seem hit and miss with removing CP, some seem happy to do it, others don't seem to be interested. There doesn't seem to be a fixed amount charged for the work either.

I've managed to find a local specialist who were very helpful on the phone and new exactly what i needed. Going there tomorrow morning so i will report back.

Just to update this for others i took the car to CT Cars in Horsley who specialist in Audi/VAG. Charged me £30+VAT and completed the job in 15mins. Really good service and happily recommend them and will be bringing my cars back to them whenever needed.
