Hey. Looks a great forum. Recently thrown caution to the wind when looking for a runaround and bought a 2004 diesel allroad from auction.

I am sure they'll be a running commentary from me on issues found!

Hi Ken , welcome to audi-sport.net. Any pics? Enjoy the forum :)

I'll get some on ASAP. Total cost at auction £1800. First thoughts when I picked it up, not done too badly. 107k, Drives straight, no smoke, auto box seems fine. No knocks or rattles anywhere.
Will need brakes soon.
Advisory for oil leak on last mot so will get that looked at.
Otherwise it's 40 miles without issue at the moment.

Update.....its been belting down so I'll sort pics as and when.

Car come from auction with advisory saying original nav disc wasn't available so copy supplied and take your chances. Turns out it all works.
The Mmi seems quite good and works at the moment without fault.

All airbags are working going fully up and down with no leaks.

As soon as I can get it to the specialist I'll get the oil leak looked at. It could be the reason it was sent for p/x and onto auction but I just get the feeling it's because they picked up something newer as there's so few issues that I've noticed. Just needs a good clean.

Regulator or guides seem to have gone in drivers side window. I've had it before on an a3 and a4 so the odd niggle here and there.

So.....window regulator needs replacing. I've had it at the Audi specialist for supposed engine and gearbox leaks to find no gearbox leak and small seep from an engine seal that's no biggy and will wait till next timing belt change in 30k time.
Having a gearbox service and engine oil replaced and all good.
