Local garage said to get a courtesy car i need to take my driving licence and my National Insurance number - has anyone else had this? the lass babbled something about this is how they check stuff, which made no sense to me.

They check your licence on the DVLA database and that needs your NI number as well as driving licence number, it gives them a code which I believe is valid for 2 weeks.

Last one i had a couple of weeks ago only wanted driving licence no NI requested.
