Strange that you don't have any bits labelled, they're all labelled on mine.Found the correct Bytes to change over on AudiWorld - got an error so need to retrace steps!!

I have just taken delivery of an A4 S Line Avant and would like to activate the maps in the DIS what is the cheapest and easiest way to do this?I have changed a bit today to my A4 MY17 with OBD Eleven:
1) High Beam Assist (works if you have the front camera at the rearview mirror):
CENTRAL ELECTRICS
high_beam_functions> head_light_assistant
FRONT SENSORS DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM
afs_coding_light_assist> high_beam_assist
Controle-eenheid 09 (CV elektra)
mmi_fla_glw_mxb> active
2) Map display in dashboard with SD-based navigation
I have the basic MMI with SD-navigation and a color DIS. I was disappointed when i noticed the map couldn't be shown there like with the A6, probably to push us buying the VC. By this coding you can switch between showing the map or the original navigation instructions by controlling the DIS with a multifunctional steering wheel. If you leave it on the map next time you start the car it will show the map again.
You need to have the color DIS offcourse and also the multifunctional steering wheel
INFORMATION CONTROL UNIT 1
Dashboard_Display_Configuration
navigation_map_transmission_mode -> MOST_Streaming
navigation_map_compression_mode -> H264
navigation_map_Resolution -> resolution_1
How easy was this to do Phil?Obdeleven is the cheapest way to do it yourself. About 55 quid with the licence. (PRO)

Not cheap for what sounds like a one-use device.

I take it that the process is just plug in the device to the OBD socket, let it do its thing, remove and thats it?

Can anyone tell me does lane assist work with presence the one that comes with all models with no virtual cockpit. Have tried twice and just get warnings on the dash. Luckily enough I can reverse code these out. The auto dip headlights and the needle sweep work brilliantly.

Thanks for the clarification will just keep trying. Definitely got something different this time though it brought up the side sense mirror in the dash.I have it working on mine. I do have the 7" DIS display but not virtual cockpit.
I got errors to begin with but toggling the option off then on resolved.

I'll give it another go tomorrow thanks for the help.Are you using VCDS or ODBEleven.
If you are getting the side assist error, you may have incorrectly activated the below?
17 - Dash Board:
Lane Assistant>Active | Byte 4>Bit 6
Lane Change Assistant>Active | Byte 5>Bit 3 - This should only be on if you have Audi Side Assist (blind spot monitor).
Great info. Have made both changes using this and works as expected..
I do however appear to have lost Google Earth view since from the Nav. The selection is grayed out, although it can be selected, and appears to load it never displays the image. Have you noticed this as an issue?
I don't tend to use it anyway, but, would like to know if this coding has affected it. I tried returning back to original coding but its the same.
Tried going over again I can't get Lane assistance going. Again when uncoding I have Lane assistance options. It's a funny one.Tried again getting presence error and Lane assistance error on the dash. It shows on mmi but as unavailable same as presence. But when I was uncoding it I looked up and i was able to select options in lane assistance. Its a funny one. Will try again later on in the week.
