I'd say it needs to be a bit lower, to remove the numberplate surround you would have to remove the grill which means removing the bumper as there will be a backing plate which you won't be able to move because it's up against the reinforcement barhi
I got my RS4 Grill fitted and my opinion the number plate looks too high.
