Advice Needed - 2011 S3 Sportback

Hi folks,

I'm looking at buying a 2011 S3 sport back black edition and I'm trying to find a list of common issues, is there a thread around here that lists the usual problems?

Welcome to ASN.

Plenty of threads if you search on things like common problems

In short:
FSH
Haldex service if relevant
Cam follower changed if relevant
Coil packs and plugs.
Occasional issues with sump oil pickup pipe.

They're generally very reliable if treated well and serviced regularly.

Look for signs of it having been modified such as aftermarket exhaust and air intake.
These aren't always reasons to avoid if the work is done properly by good tuners.
