A3 8P 1.4 TFSi

Hi all,

I owned had a 1.4 TFSI 8V and didnt really like it that much. Ive been told that the A3 8P ones are better.

So who on here has owned or has a review on the 1.4 TFSI A3 8P?

Looking for personal opinions and reviews really!

I got one here in Denmark. Had to replace the cam chain (not sure if the correct name). Now the gearbox seems to require renovation/replacement. Mine is a 2008 but I believe the model from 2010 should have gotten the worst issues fixed.

The car itself is nice and drives pretty well combined with a decent level of miles per galon.

I am however dreaming of the A3 8V Saloon.

Seems like the cam chain issue is for 2010+ models also: http://www.fdm.dk/biler/vedligeholdelse/oversigt-over-bilmodeller-med-taktkaedeproblemer (my apologies it is in danish but reading the table with models should be possible).
