Did all A4 come with AC ?

My AC compressor has been broken since owning the car, going to rip it all out, but will need a shorter belt does anyone know what size I need for a 2.0TDI without AC

I'd leave the compressor in place if it's not causing any trouble!

The parasitic drag with the clutch disengaged must be vanishingly small.

Incase anyone in the future needs to bypass the AC compressor your need a 6PK1300 belt but could get away with anything from 1200-1300

I dont think my B7 has aircon. From memory, I think the pipework is there, but no option to turn it on in the car.

belt size you need is 6PK1130 you can run a belt from 1120-1130 (ignore my previous posted wrong numbers)

think the AC cuts in on certain settings but unsure mine has never worked, have removed the whole system now

The Econ button turns the AC off, otherwise it's on. I think the front screen demister turns it on too?
