Long time lurker, first time poster.
I have a problem with the climate control on my A3 which I hope the assembled masses can offer an opinion on a solution. The cars a 2.0 tfsi, 2006 vintage. Lately I've noticed that the heater will occasionally cycle between blowing hot and cold air through all of the vents irrespective of the temperature setting. This is accompanied by the blower motor increasing in speed. I also notice a clicking noise coming from the glovebox area which makes me wonder whether there's a problem with one of the heater flap motors. I can't say if the two symptoms are related.
Has anyone else here had the same problem and found a solution?
