Hi Guys

I recently picked up an A3 with 9j TT speedline wheels fitted.

The previous owner has fitted spacers which in my opinion makes the wheels poke out to far on the front, has anyone else fitted these wheels? I can't tell you what the offset is but there is signs are catching on both the strut and inner wheel which is why I assume the spacers are fitted.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue as I have seen A few pics of these wheels and they don't look to come out of the arch quite as far as mine do.

I plan to have them refurbed in silver rather than the black they are in but if they are the wrong size wheels for the car I will just get some different ones

You could resolve this by either removing the spacers or fitting a thinner set.

5/10 or 15mm

Removing the spacers would make the rubbing problem worse as the OP said they are rubbing on the inside.

If its the wheels I'm thinking of you don't need spacers, unless he left the oem 245s on in that case Im pretty sure you do need the spacers as the tyre may hit the strut.

If you do have 245s, swap to 225 40s and remove the spacers.

If you already have 225s, remove the spacers

It's on 235's, it was the actual rim that has caught the strut...

These are the wheels

Is it on coilovers or oem shocks?

Presuming oem shocks therefore you do need to keep the spacers.

I've seen these wheels on s3s and a3s, on coilovers without spacers as the struts for coils are skinnier
