Looking for some advice my a3 battery light staying on checked alternator charging at 14v anyone heard of this fault

My guess is you'll have trouble starting the car soon. If you are on the original battery then it's about time it was changed. The steering warning lampoften comes on as well for a few secondswith a duff battery
The battery is charging been a week driving at night with lights on battery still fine I'm guessing a fuse or break in wire that switches light on

Try it with multimeter with no charge if you get 12.2V or more, if not is 1st sign of bat battery then if you got battery tester check cranking power of it.
