Facelift S3 Exhaust rattle

Has any facelift or pre-facelift owners experienced this?

Was driving along and heard a clunk, now when the car is under slight acceleration the left exhaust makes a rattle/tinning noise.

Only happens around 3-3.5k revs so I'm thinking it could be the valves?

I heard a tinny rattle on the facelift loan car I have at the moment, it's when it's under load and sounds low down in the engine bay / exhaust heat shield. It is only there when you are listening though.

It wouldn't be the valves by the way, the valves make an electronic noise when they operate and it would be too far back to hear a rattle. On the same loan car I noticed a slight rattle from the left pipe today at idle.

I had a rattle when my car was between 2.3k - 3k RPM (exactly where the sports mode keeps the revs!) took it to Audi and they replaced a bracket on the exhaust which fixed the rattle.
