Hi,
I recently had a problem with the ESP light being on constantly. I also had no drive to the rear wheels even when the fronts were spinning which led me to believe that the Haldex wasn't working. I had the car scanned and got the following fault code:
01324 - Control Module for All Wheel Drive (J492): No Communications
The fuse for the Haldex was blown so that was replaced. Faults were cleared and the ESP light went off in the dash. A few miles of fairly spritely driving later, the light has come on and the fuse has blown again.
Does anyone know what would cause the fuse to keep blowing like this? Is it likely to be the Haldex controller playing up? I haven't had a chance to look under the car yet but if the earth strap is disconnected or damaged could this be a reason?
Would a higher amp fuse make a difference or could that lead to more damage. It currently has a 5 amp fuse in position 31.
Does anyone know what may cause the fuse to keep blowing? Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Alex.
