K04-023 Inlet Diameter

Hey guys, ive had a look online but cant find the info im after.
Could anyone tell me the inlet diameter of the k04-023 on an S3, need to buy a hose for my boost leak tester.

Is it not best to test from where the maf goes so you testing the whole system?

As long as you are not venting to atmosphere.
To be fair I reckon my engine is so bad the smoke would come out of the exhaust and dip stick holder.

depends if you are using high pressure or low pressure to test...

Smoke testers use low pressure (1/2 a psi) as much more than that can blow seals out the block...

If 'pressure' testing then you only want to test the charge system itself as thats the only part thats relevant so you would normally test from the hose at the end of the top pipe on an S3 to the throttle body hose...

Testing a full system without smoke is actually quite difficult as any pressure in the intake system will hiss due to open valves and PCV plumbing... its the smoke you need to see the leaks with rather than the noise... a high pressure test is only useful on a 'closed' charge system for testing integrity of hose clips on the FMIC/SMICs etc

My plan is to block the hose at the throttle body and attached the pressure tester to the inlet of the turbo.
