So I came out to my car the other morning to find the rear brake lights on and the fans running, jumped in the car and tried starting it up, absolutely dead but obviously the battery was dead, got the battery charged enough but still no luck getting it started, RAC came out fixed it roadside by changing a relay, 5 minutes later dead again. Another RAC unit came out suggested it could be the fuel pump relay as the car juddered and cut out and he said there was no fuel pressure, but he didnt have the means to try fix it so he took it to a garage.
That garage said the whole bulkhead is full of water and are saying they arent touching the car as they dont want to open a can of worms, to me this screams in-experience but its now in a German specialist unit, but im wondering if any of you guys have had this problem and to what extent was the damage? I dont want to get stung by the garage! I realise its a electrical problem but im praying its just blocked bulkhead grommets and a simple relay/fuse repair!
