Opening Rear lights.

I have an S3 with MY09 lights but one is leaking and i know its the seal round the edges as when i was removing it from the car it started to open at the top.
Can these be put in the open to soften the glue and pull away the lenses from the rear of the unit?
What glue would I need to use to glue and seal it back together?

I had the same issue with mine. Took off the light then let it dry and used sealant. Worked like a charm.
