Hi all,

Started a topic on this a while back. Went for full blinds in the end but now looking to finally get some tints at a local reasonably priced price who use Llumar products.

Does anyone know the best percentage to get for as close to OEM factory shade as possible? Have read a lot and there seems to be a divide between 20% and 35%.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I had 20% fitted to my old A3. I was thinking 35% but the fitter recommended 20% - happy I went with this. I'm not sure what Audi factory is but looks similar.

S3

Thanks for the reply and pictures. Yeah the place has said 20% but I'm worried they might be too dark. Don't want them to stand out just looking for the factory look. Those look alright on yours though.

Ah I see. Very close then from the pics. Do you have any other angles of your car?

Get your tints applied professionally - I can't remember whether these were Llumar or SunTek but the 4 x sides and rear were £132 here in West London. I think the product had a lifetime guarantee and the fitting 1 year. Hope this helps.

Cheers. If anything yours look slightly lighter than the others. I do prefer yours and think I'll go with 20% then rather than 35%

The way the light comes into the car can change the way they look in the pics. Who ever applies should be able to give you a good idea.

Are front windows already tinted to legal limit at factory?

They may have a light factory tint applied but I didn't touch the front drivers, passenger or windscreen.

Mine have the slight factory tint in the glass too, think its standard on most

I put Llumar atr 35 % ,but i think that 20 % is closer to oem tints...

The place that is doing mine uses Llumar products. Hard to tell from your pic due to light. Most people seem to be saying 20% is close to OEM. Would you have gone with that or still stick with 35% having done it?

I would probably go for 20 now,but at the time i was scared to do it any darker cause in my country it is forbiden by the law to tint back glass its only allowed to tint side windows behind driver :D

Had the tints done this morning 20%

Just what I wanted! A few pics attached but hard to get full effect due to the light.

Looks very bright still and visibility inside to out is fine.
