For the price of them you can't go wrong at all. It's an upgrade I'm 100% doing to mine more for looks and better stopping but I only drive a 1.9 too sline

Same here mate. Mines a 2.0 tdi S line. Mines got a K&N panel filter and getting a cat back stainless exhaust next week and then getting my remap updated due to the mods, but it's hardly an RS4 lol. The Brembos are purely for looks and stopping power. Have my two young kids in the car all the time so extra stopping power isn't a bad thing!!!!

Very nice Alex. :)

I've ordered them. Roberto who sells the Brembo kits told me to get 345mm S5 ones.
Ordered grooved ones from Mtech

What pads do you have to use with these ? Wanting to know for when I get some

I got the 345 mm S5 discs from here........ http://www.mtecbrakes.com/brake-discs/audi/s5-2007/s5-4-2-quattro07-07.html
Also got some standard discs and pads the same for my rears. I'll change them at the same time. Got mine coated in black so the section that's on show attached to the hub won't get rusty. It'll just stay black.
These are the pads I got................. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-Q7-POR...%3A90abcda315b0ab6af75949cfffffd3d8%7Ciid%3A2

Pic below is one of my discs. They all arrived today.

the S5 discs are a 68mm bore so no turning out needed as with the merc ones but they are slighty taller than the amg ones so packing maybe needed on the caliper to centre the caliper over the discs which doesn't happen with the 345 amg discs which sit dead central.
I opted to enlarge the bore hole rather than start adding spacers to the caliper mounts, all down to choice really.

Did you get these for the front ?

Sweet. Have you upgraded you back brakes or just front. Also just thinking about it won't the bigger front brakes disrupt the brake guard at the back of the disc when on the car ?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

the guard has to be removed ....and unless you modify it a lot it wont go back on.

some data to compare on discs, (thanks to carl who sourced this ).
Disc4

I haven't upgraded the rears as such. Just gone for Mtech grooved rear discs and Mintex pads. All same size etc. With black coating.
I thought the same about the guard. I'm not actually fitting the kit and discs/pads myself. For bigger stuff like that I take my car to an Audi Specialist near me. They maintain my car. I don't get the time to do things myself these days. Guy who owns the garage worked as an Audi tech for years. He didn't seem to think it would be a problem.

Sorry to sound thick. But when you say same size rear is that standard size rear or same size as the fronts ? Thanks

they should be something like this when fitted.

and if you want the low pad sensors to work you'll need to get the correct leads too as the ones that come with the most pads inc mintex wont fit as they have the wrong plugs fitted , you can bypass by just not using them and loop the cable back , I just bought some RS4 leads and they worked fine.

So if I go on eBay and type in Audi rs4 brake pad sensors they should come up ?

Love it. Love the colour. It was a toss up between your colour and phantom black when I was buying my cabby. The other half loved the black so I went for that.

just so you know guys, the reason behind the sensor lead plug issue is down to the car loom plug being a female plug , the leads that come with most of the pads for this mod are also fitted with a female plug, what you need is the male plug on the sensor lead....for obvious reasons..lol
there are other leads from other models that will fit , but for price and fitment the B5 RS4 ones are ideal, just a heads up really if you don't want to bypass the low pads, I just decided to keep as much functioning as possible.

Yeah I don't see many in my colour which I like but the down fall is if I need bumpers bonnets ext there hard to find unless buying one and getting it sprayed. I love it gets so much attention as it is so when I'm done it should get a lot more.
