when my s3 is idling, it occasionally lets out a few little rough muffled hiccups. Similar to a veeeery mild misfire So little that the rev counter doesn't even move... but I a can feel it... and it's annoying. Any ideas?

Maybe it happens to them all but everyone else is able to blank it out of their mindSnap. Hopefully somebody can help us both

Maybe. I think i may start with taking the intake off and cleaning the carbon on and around the valves.
I have changed the plugs and coils and pcv so it aint that.
Not really a urgent problem to sort but still a little annoying.

I also have a cold start issue.
If i start the car cold without any throttle it will miss fire for 3 or 4 seconds.
If i start it with a little throttle it is fine.
Thats why i may have to look to see if i have carbon build up.
Will take a look at injectors to.
