Hi. Looking to get a remap on my s3 very soon.

The car is standard apart from a neuspeed p-flo intake.

I live on the devon and cornwall border so will be abit of a road trip for me.

I would really like to know people opinions on TSR Performance and Badger 5.

These are the 2 tuners i am looking to possibly use. Looking for a custom remap instead of a generic map.

If anybody has got other recommendations then thats cool but i dont really want to be travelling for hours to get there.

Good choice on going down the custom mapping route, Unicorn in Stockport and R-Tech in Hinkley are the most popular and reputable custom mappers for the S3 8P on here, but I appreciate that they're both a bit of a drive for you.

TSR Performance are a site sponser with a good reputation of whom may offer discount, although I've not seen any feedback on their custom mapping (I can only find that they do Revo remaps on their website). As for Badger 5 then they do have really good custom remap reviews, loads on the 8L platform but there's also several happy S3 8P owners on here as well, so I'd take it to Badger 5 personally.

I know badger 5 has got a good rep on the 8ls.
Never heard from anyone with a 8p custom mapped by them though.

Got to admit i am not 100% certain that tsr do custom maps either but assumed they would.

Hopefully some can tell me for sure.

Hopefully someone may give me there experience of badger 5 on the 8p s3.

I know what you mean, I initially wanted to go to Rick at Unicorn but it's a 7/8 hour round trip but then I heard about R-Tech whose only a 4 hour round trip. I wouldn't mind biting the bullet once to visit Rick but then if I needed the map tweaked or something then having to go back up there would be a ballache.

I can't find any reviews as such regarding Bagder 5's custom remaps on the 8P, however I've found several threads where people recommend them:

In one of the posts someone does mention that TSR do custom remaps, but given Badger 5's reputation who are also a site sponsor I found out, I'd lean towards them given their past appraisals and current recommendations.

Cheers matey. Will take a look at them when i can. As you said, i would do a long trip once but dont want to have to do it again if there are issues.

Badger 5 is a reasonable trip but not far enough for me to worry.

No worries mate, it seems that Bill who works there is very highly thought of throughout the community. When the time comes you're probably best off giving him a call and having a conversation about his work on the S3 8P & go from there.
