Standard S3 calipers

Hello all can anyone tell me if you can split the brake calliper from the part with the piston in so the painted part comes off. As I want to paint it I know the calipers and the Carrier come apart.

from memory yes - if memory serves me right, 4 bolts on the rear (think they're caphead M10's might be torx heads but not looked at any recently)

I Just painted mine the weekend, I hand painted them as apposed to spray painting, and left them in place, wire brushed all the crud off and cleaned with bake cleaner then I masking taped where I didn't want the paint to go, and they came out great,
