My dealer noted that it is has been disconnected on the cars record. Not an issue.
Hold on, you only disconnected the one valve? I was under the assumption that you must disconnect on both sides.
Anyone bored with the full on noise yet??? Anyone re-connecting the connectors??
I might wait until theres an option to do it through OBII. Surely there MUST be a way to program it???
Correct, to have all 4 tailpipes operating. The vehicle normally operates on 1 tailpipe.
On the left side the valve is before the muffler, to block both tailpipes. That is why one can't see the flap.
On the right side the valve is after the muffler, only on the right tailpipe. The flap is quite visible.
Sounds even better with panroof ajar/open.
I've seen your vid, it sounds amazing, but my car is leased from Audi, so dont really want to mess too much with it.
Anyone recommend a good ODBII device incase I want to play???

Just been underneath, the drivers side popped out easy, the passenger one seems jammed!
Also, what tape / protection / bung are people using???
Your local garage sounds VERY friendly I'll use some duck tape for a while and zip tie the leads up. Just worried about water getting in the electronics of the flaps
Well, the deeds been done and both cables disconnected, cable tied and duck taped. It should save me a fortune in fuel as I dont have to keep sticking it into sport mode now
Lovely deep burble now
Actually considering 3D printing some blanking plugs for these connectors rather than taping over them.
Well, i may be the first one to revert back. Have come on holiday to Wales and the drone under load was doing my head in. Combined with the road noise if was too much. Im back to piece and quiet when I want it and Sport mode if I want to show off.
I think Audi has got it right with those flaps
Strange. I live in Wales, and have no problem as such. Ideally Audi should've been using the same "loud exhaust" button, to control the flaps manually from the dash, as seen on most Porsche, but obviously they wanted to keep that for their super-premium brandWell, i may be the first one to revert back. I have the Sportback too, so pass. And I was in the impression that hearing only gets worst with age, not better, you must be very fortunate!Maybe I think theres more drone as mines a Sportback, hence maybe more noise coming into the cabin???
Personal preference also, Im nearly 50, so a bit of a duffer now
Its a bit like above, you need to press the grey thing down. Try the drivers side first and if it comes out, all will become clear
