Annoying rattling noise

Howdy all.

Is it me or this noise when idling is annoying AF from our 2.0T? Almost sounds like something is loose and rattling in the engine somewhere!

The other thing I noticed is that there's some vibration also.

I should mention that the car had a timing belt change two weeks ago.

Is this normal? Would be good to compare with other 2.0/1.8T owners.

genuinely sounds like a diesel, I'd take it back to where the belt was changed and have them investigate (for free)

Yeah what they've done there is swapped you 2.0T for a PD170. Sneaky gits

Haven't had a chance to talk to the garage yet. Searching around it seems that 2.0T engines are prone to this type of noise. Maybe I just noticed it. But still worth a check because it doesn't sound normal!
