hi all,

been having some issues with my car and starting and running. I had a local member run vagcom on it and cleared faults and replaced a few parts.

The car started and ran for about 20 mins then shut down, it would then start but only run for a few mins with it then deciding not to run again. The pump in the tank has been replaced and also the hpfp , so maybe one of these are faulty? I would also note that when the car was running the pump in the boot was constantly running.

Below is the fault that vagcom picked up :-

Page 27 shows the location of the fuel pressure regulator valve on the end of the fuel rail. If the pressure goes to high in the rail then this opens to bleed pressure off. Without it working correctly the engine is unable to control the fuel pressure properly. The fault code seems to indicate a possible intermittent connection or the valve itself may be faulty. I would check the plug is fully home on the valve. Take it on and off a few times and check the connections as well as the wiring into the harness. Look for broken wires, chafed harness etc.
You can pick up cheap second hand parts off fleabay.
