A4 B7 body/window Rust Question

Hi,

I recently bought a 2006 2l Turbo TFSi Sline SE Quattro estate and and thanks to some timely pointers from Steve and Rob, I have a engine must do parts and servic list. Whilst I am doing things before things deteriorate (hopefully) I came across this on the front pasender door/window. So what I was wondering is is this a common problem or is a failed forced entry on the window? Window works perfectly well but before it gets any worse I want to get it treated.

Can anybody Wilthire side recommend a body shop/VWAudi specialist that will do a good job at a sensible price?

Looks a bit worse for wear chap, i'd be inclined to source a replacement window frame , easy swap over aswell.....
And just to confirm you have a mk1 special edition......and how do I know this......you have chrome brightwork on you door, mk2 it is black....

The shopping list just keeps growing..at this rate the CFO might think she's entitled to know what i'm doing!!
