Hi All,

Just picked up my A3 (MY2011) yesterday and drove it 100 miles home, have to say I wished i'd joined the Audi club sooner!

Question though, I am going to change the H7 bulbs in the main headlight to some brighter white halogens but i have the halogen PS19W bulbs as my sidelights/DRLs which just won't look right with the headlight bulbs i have in mind. I've done some reading recently about people using LEDs but this causing issues/error lights which I don't want.

Is there anything (actually decent quality) that I can straight swap my dull PS19W bulbs for? preferably a white light that will work fine?

I'm sorry if this question has been asked a million times before.

Cheers all

Very white halogens do not necessarily mean more usable light on the road, quite often forward vision is worse. May be better to change over to hids in the long run. I suggest you message @t8ups of EM tuning for expert advice for which ever method you want to persue. He'll give you some options and costs.

Yeah that is a potential, and something i thought i would eventually pursue. it's just cost at the minute! I need new headlight bulbs regardless because the current ones are really poor in my opinion. Just hate seeing my halogen DRLs looking like a dull candle ha

Thanks Sooty

but with hids often if you don't know too much abut it you can burn your wiper motor, as well they aren't legal unless you got projector headlights, washers and levellers.

If i ever got it done it wouldn't be a diy job, i would seek out specialists to fit it..hence me waiting until the money to pay a specialist is available.
why is vanity so expensive!!! :confounded:

but you can buy some led bulbs with error free (resistor). for now.

For now, just to see what the outcome is I've bought a pair of these. Hopefully they will be ok. I've just heard stories of them just dying after a few weeks/months so i will keep my halogens handy just in case!
