I’ve heard them mentioned quite a bit but never had anything to do with them, go for what you know I say.

Here’s a photo of my Pioneer setup. The key is to get the right Connects fascia so it fits nice and flush.

I really like how thats set back, my facia was a quick eBay job. I might have to look a bit further??

I think they look great - what model are these? I’m in New Zealand now and we don’t do DAB here (no take-up after Government trials apparently) but I’d like a change from the RNSE, which, doesn’t have/get NZ maps.

I know there is an ICE forum and without starting a new thread (or researching) is the bezel/filler panel easy to come by, any additional parts needed ?

My one is a Pioneer SPH-DA130DAB, it by no means a range topper but after the Audi Symphony 2 it’s positively space age haha. I don’t think DAB was especially high on the priority list where I live either??

It’s a quattro sticker, adds a little something to the front of the car, had a larger ‘badge’ type thing but wasn’t good quality and I couldn’t find one that was good enough and looked nice.

Found some quattro stickers for sale and ordered a multipack and found a size that looks right to me

To be honest the sticker looks great imo, subtle enough it’s not in your face and follows the red Side bits in and around the car, what sort of grille do you have?

You need to paint that crash bar Black so it blends in, it was the first thing I did when I was fitting the honeycombe grill.
Hamerite does the job nicely and dries quick.

Dave did you remove the plastic/foam around the bar?

When I changed my grill I neglected that the crash bar was silver so just left the foam surround on the crash bar. It slightly presses onto the grill so it does need to come off and get painted black.

When cleaning the A3 I saw my grille had some cracks in it. The plan was to replace it un the end so now I got a good excuse to make it my new upgrade :).

Cleaned the A3 today and since I have swapped all my interior for S-line one its black on black.
This means my mirror needs to be black aswell, since I can't source a good mirror (auto dimming) in black for a reasonable price I just got some paint and painted it black.

Seems good to me :D

This looks so good mate.

How do you attach your license plate? Does it screw into the bar behind your grille or is it attached directly to it? And when you want to attach an Audi logo, do you need a "plate" for that aswell?

Theres alot of options when it comes aftermarket honeycomb grills some good some bad this just has non of the plate or badge attachment brackets.

My license plate is printed on a sticker stuck to the LHS of the bumper under the headlignt

Not the best picture but it’s been a busy day. The white sticker on the bottom has now gone and the blue buttons on the left hand side are now red to match the heater controls. I’m really happy with it although it was probably assembled in China haha. CarPlay works really well and it sounds great. The phone quality is brilliant after getting used to the interference I had when I retrofitted the Audi Bluetooth module.
Looks great! I had contemplated picking up a used RNS-E head unit to install, b/c of plug-in-play install. But Kenwood caught my eye and wouldn't let go. While mine has some physical buttons, they're very subdued... hidden in a lower "bar", and color matched red via the config options.

I like that. I had RNS-E in my last car and to be honest it seems very dated. Audi sat-nav isn’t my favourite either.

I like it more then RNS

Well I knew about the crack in the chrome part, but never saw the crack on the black part.

I had chrome strips fitted on the grille so never bothered to "inspect" it.

I didn’t take any pictures but basically this one has a red, a black and an orange wire. Red is switched 12v, black is earth and orange goes to the headlight circuit so the gauge dims when you switch the lights on. I found all of these on the head unit wiring harness. The pipe goes to the inlet manifold, in my case into the blanking plug that came with my Forge catch can. I’ve yet to have the pleasure of removing the glove box and finding a route trough the bulk head.

You use your own vent after pulling out all of the flaps and fitting an adapter disk off eBay. This is a ring with lugs that fit where the flaps used to be. Here’s a link but you don’t actually get any of the things pictured. It’s a bit misleading but it does the trick.

If you’re talking about the eBay link, you don’t get a lot for your 8 quid and it’s a bit fiddly but it does the job. The gauge was about £40.
