From someone breaking an A3 on Shpock for £20. You can get it brand new from Audi for about £35 I think. The part number is 8P0 863 387 A 6PS

@leonwilliams - it’s the correct part - it is a cig lighter! Mine was £25 inc vat and postage from Audi - contact mjr901 on FB Messenger. He’s an Audi Main a Dealer parts specialist.

Bought a flat bottom steering wheel too. Need to find an airbag now (and reasonably priced too!).
I was watching this some time but realized airbag shape is different won't fit mine from A3 .. it is best buy it all together from ebay audi cars - breaking breaking

how u gonna charge phone now ?

As @samuelh_888 said. Actually speak of charging, I have some plans to do a phone/usb setup under the centre console hand rest (similar to the 8v) where Audi for some bizarre reason decided to put in cup holders (really?). Subject for another topic I guess.

fitted flush parking sensors from aliexpress. came prepainted, not bad for £17

Guys
How is radio antenna wire running through the car ? I am losing signal when I accelerate and when I break signal come better .. sometimes ..
That means antenna is moving somewhere and is loose ..

Cause you’re going faster than the speed of sound.

Not bad at all!

Got a link mate?
Also are they wired straight to reverse lights?

yeah,
this video was useful (if only for trim removal and wiring). i used a 12v lamp tester to confirm which wire was the reverse, and its the same as that vid, blue/red.
if youve got a sportback, it might be slightly different as the reverse is in the tailgate, so youd have to test to confirm the wire, then trace it back up the loom inside the car to tap into, but shouldnt be too hard.

only 'negative' id say is compared to the factory sensors on my last car, id say they are a few milliseconds off. but for the price its a minor tradeoff.

H&R springs and TTRS top mounts gone in. Now the wheels look lost in the arches . Who knows what thickness spacers you can use with standard wheel bolts?

Great write up and video!
The one thing i think cant beat factory sensors is the beep tone!

With standard bolts you’re limited - don’t go any more than 3mm.

I’ve just had 12.5mm added all round and I think they’re a little too wide.

picked up some metal pedals today. Do they need coding?? Mate of mine seems to think they do.

What spacers did you go for? I’ve seen a few different brands, surely they are all more or less the same?

cheers, although cant take credit for the video its not mine!

yeah i agree. last car the beep tone came from the passenger side door speaker, this one comes from a crappy tiny speaker ive mounted on the inner body skin. cant compare but it works

If you get spacers buy longer bolts to match, 5mm spacers aren’t worth bothering with so your looking at 10s or 12s or 15s they all need longer matching bolts. Don’t bother risking it

12s all round fill the arches nicely, just need to remove the rear top screw from the bumper trim to stop rubbing when car is loaded. Loads of opinions on spacers and depends a lot on wheel choice and personal preferrence
